Oboe d'amore parts are playable on oboe.
Five mvts are by Bach; 2 initial mvts were added, probably after his death: a chorale by Bach,
Auf, mein Herz, des Herren Tag, and the chorus So du mit deinem Munde bekennest Jesum, from an Easter cantata by G. P. Telemann. The title Ich lebe, mein Herze, zu deinem Ergötzen, is actually the 3rd mvt, but it is the first of the movements intended by Bach for this cantata.
Source of text: Nos.3-7, Picander, 1728-29; no.1, Caspar Neumann, ca.1700; no.2, Romans 10:9; no.7, Nikolaus Herman, 1560. Language: German
