Suite No.1 for full orchestra was prepared by the composer. The Eulenburg is a text-critical edition. The Breitkopf edition (and Kalmus reprint) by Fritz Hoffmann is cued for performance by a minimum of
1 1 2 1 — 2 2 1 0 — str 4t. Bizet’s 2tp & 2crt parts are redistributed by Hoffmann among the 4tp in an unpredictable, though practical, manner.
