A description of the numerous versions of Bruckner's two unnumbered and nine numbered symphonies is far beyond the scope of this book. The list here includes the most widely-performed versions, and employs the Cahis numbering system, which helps clarify the chronology of the revisions.
The Anton Bruckner Website, maintained by David Griegel, has changed its address to www.bruckner.webs.com. Another fine site at www.abruckner.com is maintained by John F. Berky. It includes Berky’s invaluable Bruckner Symphony Versions Discography and many other features and links.
Most of these compositions are available from MWV in Austria, and from Bärenreiter world-wide. Corrigenda lists may be obtained from MWV; also errors are corrected in subsequent reprints from the publisher.
