Ed. Leopold Nowak, 1953.
This edition includes a further revision of the finale, previously thought to be 1886, but which may be as early as 1881. This revision brings back in its final bars the horn motive from the first movement; it is the most frequently performed version of the symphony. (The Robert Haas edition of 1936, reprinted in 1944, does not include this return of the horn call.)
I. Bewegt; nicht zu schnell
II. Andante quasi Allegretto
III. Scherzo: Bewegt
IV. Finale: Bewegt; doch nicht zu schnell
