Texts are by Bob Dylan, but the music newly composed by Corigliano without reference to Dylan's original musical settings. Corigliano's settings originally (2000) for voice and piano, and later (2003) orchestrated by the composer. In 2009 a version was created for soprano [ampd], flute/pic/bfl, clarinet/Ebcl/bcl, 1percussion, piano, violin[opt dbl va], violoncello. Also in 2009 a transcription with accompaniment for wind ensemble was made by Verena Meisenbichler and approved by the composer.
