N.B.: Bass clarinet is in A, bass clef; tenor tuba is in Bb and treble clef; a contrabass clarinet is called for (4 bars only), to be covered by the 2nd clarinetist or the D clarinetist [cued in cbn if necessary].
A 1947 "Symphonic Fragment" from this ballet is available from Boosey; it was prepared by the composer, and is 20' in duration. The instrumentation is somewhat smaller.
