After the composer's death, this ballet score was edited by Riccardo Drigo, with many excisions and additions (orchestrations of Tchaikovsky piano pieces, op.72). The Lars Payne orchestra material is said to be the most comprehensive, including as it does the Drigo orchestrations, and various transitions and transpositions made necessary by the commonly used reordering.
