Der Lindberghflug (The Lindbergh Flight) <1929>

Solo tenor (Lindbergh) has a speaking role as well.
Originally a "Lehrstück" composed jointly with Paul Hindemith; later Hindemith's portion of the music was replaced to form this cantata. Also performed in a 1950 version with Lindbergh's name removed for political reasons, under the title Der Ozeanflug (The Flight Acoss the Ocean).
