That is, mvts 1, 3, 5, 7 (performed a cappella) may be programmed as a choral suite; the remaining mvts (2, 4, 6, and perhaps 7 without chorus) may be performed as a suite for strings. The composer is not absolutely clear about the permissibility of mvt 7 in the string suite without the voices.
