3rd mvt completed by Brian Newbould, based on Schubert's sketch. A complete 4-movement symphony may be performed by using the traditional mvts 1 & 2, the present Scherzo, and (as recommended by Newbould) the B minor Entr'acte No.1 from the composer's Rosamunde, D.797, as a 4th movement. Thus the movements would be, respectively, 12', 13', 7', 11' = 43' total.
