Preceded by an Andante spianato (4', also op.22) for unaccompanied piano, for a total duration of 14'.
Another orchestration exists (differing only by the addition of 2 trumpets and without trombone) by Xaver Scharwenka, which includes orchestral accompaniment for the opening Andante spianato; this was originally also published by Breitkopf and is likely out of print.
