Some authorities believe this and the Concerto a due cori No.3 are actually a single work. Breitkopf title for No.2 is Concerto grosso No.28, ed. Max Seiffert. Kalmus and Luck's sets are heavily edited copies — editing attributed to "Kogel" — and differ substantially from the original text.
3rd mvt of this work is an instrumental version of Lift up your heads from Handel's Messiah.
