In an outdoor performance on a big scale several trumpets may be used.
In the absence of chorus, The Human Organ mvt can be played by wind instruments (the composer prefers saxophones or clarinets and bassoons); a cut can also be made thereby eliminating that mvt and other sections dominated by the vocal parts.
