Originally from the composer's violin sonatas, Book 1, no.11; widely known in arrangements for viola and for cello, with piano accompaniment. Arranged for double bass and string orchestra by Norman Ludwin.
The solo part, like the violin original, is written in G minor. If traditional solo double bass scordatura is used, it will sound in A minor. Ludwin offers score and parts in either A minor or G minor; specify key when ordering.
