This 1943 revision of the final portion of the ballet, originally published by AMP, was intended to be more readily playable than the original because of rescoring, rebarring, enharmonic spelling, and larger metric units. However, in his 1947, 1965, and 1967 revisions, the composer did not make use of the 1943 version. It may be assumed that this publication, interesting as it is, is not Stravinsky's final word on the subject.
