Tuning requirements: half the instruments tune normally; the others are split into 3 groups, which tune, respectively, 1/8 tone lower, 1/8 tone higher, and 1/4 tone higher. The 4kybds are "tunable" and "splitable" synthesizers; they do not appear in the score, but double the (divided) violins, saxes, and trumpets for the purpose of tuning as well as sound reinforcement.
