Narration: The CD is a recording Robert F. Kennedy's speech on the death of Martin Luther King Jr.; a live narrator may be substituted, though that is less desirable. An extra musician (onstage or off) is necessary in order to start and stop the CD at the prescribed moments.
A prologue of about 1' duration is to be read (by the narrator if one is present, or the conductor, or the solo voice) before the music begins.
The solo voice sings only 2 passages near the end of the work; the singer should be inconspicuous; the part may be sung by an orchestra member if a suitable voice is available.
