Ed. Joachim Draheim. Around 1854, the composer produced a violin version of his violoncello concerto, apparently for the use of Joseph Joachim. The manuscript solo violin part had lain amongst the material in Joachim's estate for many years, but was unrecognized until ca.1987.
Use the orchestral score and parts for the cello concerto, with only minor changes in the last 2 bars (755-756), as specified in the Preface to the violin version. The latter is published only as a solo violin part with piano accompaniment.
