Saxophone briefly in 1st mvt only; could be covered by contrabassoonist or bass clarinetist. Piano in mvts 1 & 2 only. Bcl in bass clef throughout; mostly in B-flat but some passages for bcl in A.
Kalmus offers a score for sale, but parts are rental only.
It is said that the title originally was to be "Fantastic Dances," with movement titles "Noon," "Twilight," and "Midnight."
