Sometimes attributed to Giovanni Battista Vitali (1632-1692), father of Tomaso. Probably it is by neither of the Vitalis, but rather by an unknown composer of the period—or it may even be an anachronistic composition or pastiche assembled in 1867 by Ferdinand David (1810-1873).
